The automotive industry doesn’t sit still. It’s in constant motion, driven by technology, evolving customer expectations, and fierce competition. Whether you run a repair shop, sell vehicles, rent them out, or build your brand around motorsport — your website can’t be just “good enough.” It can’t be random. And it sure as hell can’t be generic.
At the Department of Web, we don't settle for generic. We chose to specialize in automotive websites because we know how much impact a great site can have in this industry. And how much is lost when it's treated like an afterthought.
We build sites that turn heads, load fast, and keep working even while you're on the track, under the hood, or out chasing sunlight.
This wasn’t a coincidence. Jakub, our CEO, is not only a developer and entrepreneur, he’s also a motorsport driver.
He lives and breathes cars and code. That rare combination gives us a unique edge: We know how this industry works from the inside and can translate it into solid digital solutions.
Over the years, we've worked across different industries, building platforms, web apps, and integrations for US and European clients. But long-term collaboration with Vanlife Trader, a leading US campervan marketplace, confirmed it: automotive is where we belong. It’s where our skills meet our passion.
With Vanlife Trader, we supported the platform across multiple fronts — from front-end development to performance optimization and custom filtering systems. We helped them build a user experience that works and sells, day in and day out. Our deep integration with their product team taught us exactly what it takes to scale an automotive platform in a competitive market.
On the other end of the spectrum is wlepkownia, a niche e-commerce shop for motorsport-inspired car decals. We designed the store, custom pricing calculator, and project generator from scratch, giving users the freedom to personalize their stickers without even talking to the sales team.
We also consulted with OZ Parts EU, a parts distributor based in Australia, helping it refine its communications and prepare social media platforms for online campaigns.
Automotive websites have their own rules. You’re not selling socks. You’re selling safety, horsepower, reliability, or in some cases, lifestyle. What sets them apart?
And yet, many automotive websites still look like they were built in 2008. We’re here to change that.
We build custom stores for auto parts sellers, with advanced filtering, SKU management, and scalable WooCommerce integrations.
We can launch laser-focused landing pages for rental services, car dealerships, and motorsport events, tailored to your goals and optimized for conversions.
We’re ready to support content creators, vloggers, drifters, and YouTubers, by helping them showcase their projects and grow engaged communities.
And yes, we’ve built large marketplaces like Vanlife Trader, with powerful search engines, listing tools, and mobile-first performance in mind.
Clients often ask: “How do we start?” Here’s how we approach every automotive project:
Whether you need a full e-commerce store or just a landing page for your next campaign, we tailor every step to your business needs.
You won’t have to explain what a camber, VIN, MPG, or others are. Or why your site needs to work on an iPhone 11 that broke after a close encounter with the garage floor. We get it.
You’ll save time — because we already understand your language.
You’ll gain an edge — because we know what drives conversions in your world.
You’ll have flexibility — because we can design a marketplace today and a product configurator tomorrow.
And you’ll have peace of mind — because automotive isn’t just another vertical for us. It’s a community we belong to.
If anything here resonates, if you feel like we might “click” — reach out.
Your project won’t be one of many. It’ll be a chapter in a story where clean code meets horsepower and user journeys feel like a well-tuned machine.
